 Oxytetracycline injection is avaliable in potency of 200mg per ml to provide more choice of selection for the physician to treat diseasea caused by oxytetracycline susceptible micro-organisms.The injection of oxytetracycline is stable,well tolerates,less oainful and exhibits a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity.

COMPOSITION:

Each ml contains:

Oxytetracycline.............100mg

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIONS AND INDICATIONS:

Oxytetracycline has the following pharmaceutical action and usage.

CATTLE:

Diphtheria,anthrax,bacterial enteritis,footrot,anaplasmosis,metritis,phneumonia,wound infection and shipping fever.

HORSES:

Upper respiratory infections,strangles,peritomitis,fistula of the withers,foaling paralysis,wound infection,phlegmon,thrush and joint infections.

LAYERS:

Coryza,fowl cholera,infectious sinusitis,infectious syynovitis,chronic respiratory diseases and air sacculitis

SHEEP AND GOATS:

Pheumonia joint infections,wound infections,bacterial enteritis.

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:

Oxytertacycline ia administered by intramuscular and intravenous routes.In all animals except layers where it is administered only intramuscularly.

CAUTION:

Intramuscular injection should begiven deep in large muscle and not more than 10ml,at one site of injection,intravenously to be injected slowly.

DOSAGE :

The dose of oxytetracycline injection ranges from 5mg to 10mg per kilo of body weight of the animal according to the severity,mode and type of infection.

the dose of oxytertacycline injection 10mg per kilo of body weight is for the treatment of acute and chronic infections and should be continued twice daily for 1to 5days.Generally the symptoms of efficacy are quite evident within 36to 48hours.
